We were walking in our neighborhood the other day and saw this statue in someone's front yard. We think it's a copy of one of the Backyardigans... or at least it looks like it to us. We know Eliot loves them, so here it is... for you Eliot. We miss you!

We were just having fun and took those pictures the other day.

A year ago

Today, a year ago, at exactly this time, I was in tears. We had to leave our beautiful children in Guatemala and come back to real life... for the second time in as many months. I hated leaving each time. It always felt like someone was riping my heart open and leaving a part of it behind. But even though there were tears, this time was different. I had just whispered in Rosa's ear that I would come back within a month and would never leave her alone (and I mean NEVER) after that again. I kept my promise, but I'm saving that for another blog entry next month. In the meantime, here is a picture of us as a family (even though not legally yet but definetely in the heart) that very last day in March last year.

A visit to the park

Last weekend was beautiful, sunny, perfect temperatures, not too hot, not too cold, just the way we like Florida. It was a wonderful day to go to the park, so we did! Here are some pictures. Enjoy!
